Nonprofit commuity service and youth mentoring in Washington DC

In September 2021, Ordinarie Heroes expanded to the Washington D.C. area to provide programs and services introduced in 3 Phases.

Phase 1: Local Partnerships

Our goal is to make a measurable difference in under-resourced communities but we can't do it alone. There are other organizations and community partners doing similar work and our hope is to connect and support one another in order to continue to offer quality services and real progress in the D.C. area. Community is our greatest superpower!

Phase 2: Community Engagement

We believe that in order to make real progress and change in our communities we must engage one another with quality programs. The key word is quality. Regardless the event, serving unhoused individuals in D.C. or volunteering at a local rec center in VA, our focus is connecting and engaging in a way that develops relationships and builds trust so we can move forward together. Our focus is to provide marginalized and under-resourced communities with the type of engagement that is creative, restorative, and relevant.

Phase 3: Youth & Family Services

We aim to provide resources that serve youth and families and support a model for growth and self sufficiency. Youth and Family services will include college prep, career readiness, life skills and mental health workshops, and more.
